Megan Lumnah, Camp Director

Megan Lumnah (Compass), appointed Camp Director of Camp Little Notch in February 2017, grew up in New Berlin, New York, but later moved to Dayton, Ohio, the summer before her freshman year of high school. She now lives in Vermont, and is honored to call the Slate Valley her home.

Megan holds an AA in Social Work from Sinclair Community College in Ohio, and a BS in Youth Development and Camp Management from Green Mountain College in Vermont. Since 2007, she has been working for non-profit organizations that are youth serving, and has honed her innate ability to coach and empower all that she works with and supervises.

Though Megan did not attend a camp as a young girl, she felt the impact of camp her first summer as a counselor. The magic she felt came from the confidence the camp director had in her, and the camp director’s ability to challenge her to grow and develop into a leader.

Floating in her kayak on the water, exploring the mountains through a hike, sitting still with a cross stitch, or just being outdoors are all ways Megan takes time for herself. She is delighted to be a part of the Friends of Camp Little Notch family, and to continue her passion of connecting youth to themselves and others through the use of nature.
